1. Our commitment
GuardMyVideos is operated by Ellan Duncan t/a GuardMyVideos. We want everyone who uses our website and app to be able to find copied YouTube content and manage their account without unnecessary barriers.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA where practicable. This statement describes what we have done so far, known gaps, and how you can tell us if something is difficult to use.
2. Conformance status
The GuardMyVideos website at guardmyvideos.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. We are actively improving areas listed in section 6 below.
3. Measures we take
When we build or update GuardMyVideos, we try to:
Use semantic HTML and logical heading structure on marketing and account pages. Provide text labels and descriptions for interactive controls where we add or change them. Support keyboard operation for primary navigation, forms, and dialogs. Maintain sufficient colour contrast on core text and controls in our default theme. Design layouts that reflow on smaller screens without requiring horizontal scrolling for main content. Include descriptive alternative text on meaningful images in blog posts, guides, and marketing pages. Respect reduced-motion preferences where animations are decorative.
We review accessibility when we ship significant UI changes and when users report problems.
4. Compatibility
GuardMyVideos is designed to work in current versions of major desktop and mobile browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. It should be usable with common assistive technologies such as screen readers and voice control, though your experience may vary depending on browser, operating system, and assistive tool versions.
Some features rely on third-party services (for example Google sign-in, Stripe checkout, and embedded YouTube previews). Those flows follow the accessibility support provided by each provider.
5. Accessibility features you can use
Keyboard: Tab through links, buttons, and form fields. Activate controls with Enter or Space. Escape closes menus and modal dialogs where supported.
Browser zoom: You can enlarge text and layout using your browser's zoom (typically Ctrl/Cmd and +).
Privacy and cookies: Manage optional analytics cookies on Your privacy choices.
6. Known limitations
We are aware that some areas may not yet meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA in every situation, including:
Complex scan results and data tables may be difficult to navigate with a screen reader on some views. Some charts, badges, or decorative icons may not expose full context to assistive technology. Colour alone is occasionally used to indicate status alongside text, and we continue to improve non-colour cues. Third-party payment and authentication screens are outside our direct control. Older blog or guide content may predate our current accessibility checklist.
If you encounter a barrier, please tell us (section 7). We prioritise fixes that block access to core tasks such as signing in, running a scan, or managing billing.
7. Feedback and contact
If you have difficulty using GuardMyVideos, or if you need information in a different format (for example plain text or a larger PDF export), contact us and we will try to help within a reasonable time.
Email: contact@guardmyvideos.com
Please include the page URL, what you were trying to do, the browser and device you use, and any assistive technology involved. That helps us reproduce and fix the issue faster.
8. Enforcement procedure
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint. In the United Kingdom, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) provides guidance on rights under the Equality Act 2010. In the European Union, contact your national enforcement body for web accessibility. We will cooperate in good faith with any applicable regulatory process.
9. Updates to this statement
We review this statement when we make material accessibility improvements or when regulations change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
