Find out if your videos
have been stolen —
while you still have time to act.
GuardMyVideos scans YouTube for unauthorised copies of your videos and gives you the evidence you need to act — in minutes, not months. You can also paste a public link you're unsure about (not only your own upload) and we'll label the scan accordingly.

Most creators find out their content was stolen by accident
Most creators only find out their work was copied by accident — a comment, a dip in views, or a manual search. There isn't a simple, always-on “show me everything that might be ripping my upload” workflow for everyday channels. GuardMyVideos is built for that gap: we run targeted searches, compare multiple signals with AI, and hand you a ranked shortlist to review.
Theft rarely announces itself
Suspicious reuploads don't arrive in one tidy inbox. Many creators still rely on luck, subscribers, or hours of searching — even when they use other YouTube tools for different jobs.
We scan YouTube on your behalf
GuardMyVideos searches for candidates that structurally resemble your video — titles, transcripts, descriptions, tags, and narration patterns — so you're not guessing which search terms to try next.
Evidence you can act on
Taking action usually means showing clear similarity. Your scan results document which signals matched and why — useful when you file a copyright complaint or escalate with YouTube.
What GuardMyVideos does: We search YouTube for similar uploads and score them with AI across titles, descriptions, tags, transcripts, speech-style signals, and thumbnails when available — including re-edited or re-voiced versions that are painful to catch with a quick manual search alone.
Free tools are everywhere — most don't hunt your copies
Plenty of sites plug into YouTube for free. The question is whether they're built for the same job: finding uploads that might be ripping off your video — not just analysing a random clip for some other purpose.
- “Is this video AI?” checkers judge whether footage looks synthetic or deepfake-style. That's a real need — but it's not the same as discovering channels that copied your script, title pattern, or re-edited your upload.
- Transcribers, summarizers, and clip makers help you repurpose or study content. They don't run a dedicated search-and-compare pass across YouTube to surface suspicious matches against your originals.
- Pre-upload “copyright check” style tools often focus on clearingyour file before you publish (e.g. music clearance). That's different from ongoing discovery of copies that appear after you're already live.
- YouTube's own match features help many channels, but access and coverage aren't identical for everyone — and edited or partial copies can still slip past what shows up in Studio. Many creators still end up in manual search hell.
Why sign up for GuardMyVideos: one workflow built only for copy discovery — multi-signal similarity scoring, ranked candidates, scan history, and on Pro channel scanning, PDF-style reports, and alerts. You're paying for focus and time back, not for yet another generic YouTube gadget.
Four steps to know if your video's been stolen
No installation. No legal expertise required. Connect your channel and GuardMyVideos does the rest.
Connect your YouTube channel
Sign in with your Google account to grant read-only access. We never post, delete, or modify anything on your channel — we only read metadata and captions to run your scan.
Choose what you’re scanning
Say whether the URL is your own upload (find copies) or a link you’re checking (suspected reupload, edited clip, or any public video). Paste the YouTube URL — GuardMyVideos searches for candidate matches across six independent comparison signals (plus metadata-vs-narration when captions exist).
AI analyses six signals
Each candidate is scored on title, description, tags, transcript, narration style, and thumbnail imagery when YouTube thumbnails load. With captions, we also check whether metadata matches what is said. The combined score reflects how likely a match is a copy.
Review your results and act
Suspicious matches are ranked by score. You see exactly which signals fired and why — giving you clear, documented evidence to file a DMCA takedown or report to YouTube directly. On Pro, a DMCA helper lists what to gather (URLs, evidence) before you use Google’s official complaint forms yourself.
Signal categories are public. Weighting thresholds, candidate scan counts, and scoring logic are kept confidential to prevent evasion. Results are AI-assisted analysis — not legal findings.

Common questions
Is it really free to try?▼
Yes. New accounts get 3 free scans on our shared YouTube quota. After that, upgrade to Pro for full features and higher limits — on Pro you can optionally add your YouTube API key if you want your own quota.
What happens after my 3 free scans?▼
Subscribe to Pro for PDF reports, full history, channel scanning, a DMCA checklist (what to gather before YouTube’s form), and higher daily limits. On Pro, you can optionally add your own YouTube Data API key if you want scans to use your personal quota.
How long does a scan take?▼
Most scans complete in 20–40 seconds depending on how many candidate videos are found and whether transcripts are available.
Does this prove copyright infringement?▼
No. GuardMyVideos provides similarity scores as indicators — not legal determinations. You should consult a lawyer if you believe your content has been stolen.
What if my video doesn't have captions?▼
No problem — we'll still compare titles, descriptions, tags, and narration patterns. Transcripts add an extra layer of accuracy but aren't required.
Is this for music creators or producers?▼
No. GuardMyVideos is specifically for YouTube video creators — tutorials, commentary, gaming, education, vlogs and similar video content. We don't detect audio copying, music sampling, or anything related to the music or film industry.
